Julia Torreblanca
Chair of ABAC Inclusion Working Group; VP of Corporate Affairs, Sociedad Minera Cerro VerdeJulia Torreblanca is the Vice President for Corporate Affairs of Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde S.A.A. She looks after the sustainable development of the company, energy and legal affairs, government relations, and the improvement of the quality of life of the inhabitants in the surrounding communities and in Arequipa. As part of her current position, she is also the Secretary of the Board of Directors, Director of the Cerro Verde Association, and Vice President of the Board and member of the Technical Committee of the Cerro Verde Civil Association.
She is an active leader of the private sector and is involved in various business associations. Currently, she sits on the board of the National Society of Mining, Oil and Energy, and the Foreign Trade Association of Peru (COMEXPERU). Mrs. Torreblanca started representing Cerro Verde in APEC in 2008, participating regularly in APEC CEO Summits since then.
Mrs. Torreblanca holds a Law Degree from Universidad Católica Santa María in Arequipa, Peru. She has also successfully completed specialization courses at the Yale School of Management and Harvard Business School.
Mohammad Naciri
Regional Director, Asia and the Pacific of UN WomenMohammad NACIRI has been appointed as the Regional Director of UN Women for Asia and the Pacific. From 2015 to 2018, he was the Regional Director of UN Women in the Arab States. From 2012 to 2015, Mohammad Naciri was the Deputy Regional Director for UN Women in the Arab States.
Mohammad has extensive experience in the region and in gender and development issues. Prior to joining UN Women, Mohammad was the Deputy Country Director of UNDP in Yemen, where he supported the country in the formulation of its Gender Strategy and the Gender Responsive Budgeting process. He has worked in Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Cambodia, dealing with issues from human trafficking to ethnic cleansing.
A national of Morocco, Mohammad holds a master’s degree in Public Administration and International Development from the Harvard University, as well as a master’s degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Oxford. He also has a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology in Alexandria-Egypt.
Xiao Sun

Prior to that, Mr. Sun was Deputy Director General of the Cooperation and Development Department at CCOIC since 2015, and was promoted to the position of Director General in 2017.
Before joining CCOIC, Mr. Sun played multiple roles at China Council for the Promotion of International Trade(CCPIT) within the Department of International Relations, working as Deputy Director of Asia-Africa Division and Director of International Organization Division.
Mr. Sun graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University with a major in English Language and Literature and holds a master's degree in Public Administration from Renmin University of China.
Rebecca Barnes
Director, Policy (Economic and International) of Manatū Wāhine Ministry for Women, New ZealandAs Director, Policy; at Manatū Wāhine Ministry for Women (the Ministry), Rebecca Barnes is responsible for a wide range of economic and international policy issues.
Economic policy issues spanning both the private and public sectors include: the gender pay gap; pay equity; tertiary education and training / careers; financial systems / access to finance; labour market policy; and small to medium enterprise policy.
International policy issues include New Zealand’s engagement with the UN on issues related to women, in particular: the Convention on the Status of Women (CSW); Sustainable Development Goal (Number 5); and the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). Rebecca, and the Ministry, also participate in the APEC Policy Partnership on Women and the Economy (PPWE); Women and the Economy Forum (WEF); and will lead the WEF in New Zealand’s host year, 2021.
Rebecca joined the Ministry following a varied career in the New Zealand public and private sectors. Over the last fourteen years in the public sector Rebecca has held senior positions in The Treasury, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Primary Industries. Rebecca has also worked closely with Ministers over the last decade, and was a senior advisor (private secretary) for The Treasury to the Minister of State Owned Enterprises.
Rebecca is a strategic policy specialist with expertise in economic and international policy – particularly where economic and security dimensions intersect. Rebecca is an experienced cross-agency policy leader; and has particular strengths in engaging with stakeholders (government, business, academic, and civil society); pragmatic policy; and policy people leadership.
Rebecca graduated with a BA (Hons, First Class – specialising in European, Middle Eastern, and nation building) from the University of Otago in 2004 alongside a BCom (Economics) in 2005. Rebecca lives in Island Bay, Wellington - great sea views and terrible wind - with her husband Jason (Waitaha ki te Arawa / Te Atihaunui a Pāpārangi); their daughter Augusta; and two old but delightful cats.
Silvana Koch-Mehrin
President & Founder of Women Political Leaders (WPL)Silvana is the President and Founder of Women Political Leaders (WPL), the worldwide network of women Politicians. WPL is an independent, non-partisan and not-for-profit foundation that aims to increase both the number and influence of women in political leadership.
Silvana served as Vice-President of the European Parliament (2009-2011) and Member of the European Parliament (2004-2014).
Before her time in politics, she founded and ran a public affairs consultancy in Brussels, which later merged with a larger US firm. She also worked as Senior Special Advisor for EY and as Senior Policy Advisor for GPLUS Europe.
In addition to her work for WPL, Silvana serves on the board of the Council of Women World Leaders, the network of female Presidents and Prime Ministers. She is also a member of the European Leadership Network (ELN), a Board Director of the Social Progress Imperative and member of the Global Advisory Network of Apolitical Academy Global. Since 2016, Silvana has been representing the European Union in the Executive Committee of W20, an official engagement group of the G20. In 2018 and 2019, she was ranked as one of the 100 most influential persons in gender equality by Apolitical. Silvana is a Young Global Leader Alumni of the World Economic Forum.
She lives in Brussels, Belgium with her three kids and their Irish father.
Ying Li
Dean of School of International Education, associate professor of law, and the former Executive Vice Dean of the School of Law at China Women’s University (CWU)Li Ying is a women’s rights expert with over a decade of experience. She is the Dean of School of International Education, associate professor of law, and the former Executive Vice Dean of the School of Law at China Women’s University (CWU), where she teaches and conducts research in the areas of international economic law, international human rights law, and women’s human rights and women and development in Belt and Road countries.
Li Ying has contributed to several initiatives supporting women’s rights in China, including participation in development of a legislative proposal for the guarantee of the rights and interests of women, anti-domestic violence law and desk study for the parenting supporting law. She has participated UN human right conventions several times to make oral statements and draft the related reports on women’s rights, women’s empowerment and sustainable development in China.
Kara Nguyen
Founder of MpactKara Nguyen, CFA is the founder and general director of Mpact - a digitally native vertical fashion business that focuses on promoting sustainability and empowering women through mindfulness.
Before devoting her work fulltime to Mpact, Kara served as Strategy and Business Development Director at one of the leading luxury fashion houses in Vietnam. Prior to that, she was a Risk Manager for Barclays Investment Bank - one of The World's Top 10 Investment Banks, managing market risks for the entire European Rates Trading Business. She’d worked in London for seven years, gaining diverse experiences in risk management, electronic trading and equity financing.
As a mother of two, Kara strongly believes that acting on sustainability is an act of self-care and a personal social responsibility. She is on a mission to use her voice to raise social and environmental awareness within fashion and beyond.
In 2020, as one of the panelists in the ASEAN Women CEO Summit, she shared how sustainability would lead to business innovation, improved efficiency and self- empowerment. At Mpact, she adopts a holistic and disruptive problem-solving approach to tackle sustainability in the fashion industry: seasonless and innovative design solutions to minimise waste, ethical, ethical & ondemand production, plastic-free packaging, mindful marketing to slow down consumption, fair pricing, etc.
In 2021, she took on the role as South Vietnam Coordinator for Fashion Revolution - the world's biggest fashion activism movement - and successfully kick-started the first forum of industry insiders to address sustainable practices in Vietnam.
Kara has also been working with educators and social organisations to join collective efforts towards building more sustainable habits and practices at both personal and corporate level, one small change at a time.
Annie Cheng

Under her leadership, the company has actively engaged 2.3 million sellers and 36.4 million buyers from 223 countries/regions, with more than 25 million products being added and listed on the platform annually.
Before this, she served as the youngest senior executive at Microsoft China and the only female with a high position at Cisco. In 1999, as the first generation of e-commerce entrepreneurs in China, she established Joyo.com, China’s first B2C trading platform.

Chetna Sinha
Member BRICS WBA India Chapter and Founder / Chair, Mann Deshi Bank & Mann Deshi FoundationChetna Gala Sinha is a passionate listener who respects risk-takers -- which makes her a powerful force in the banking world. A longtime activist and farmer, in 1997 she set up the Mann Deshi Mahila Sahakari Bank, India's first bank for and by rural women. Today, the Mann Deshi Bank has 100,000 account holders, has loaned over $70 million and regularly creates new financial products to support the needs of female micro-entrepreneurs.
In 2006, Sinha founded the first business school for rural women in India, and in 2013, she launched a toll-free helpline and the first Chambers of Commerce for women micro-entrepreneurs in the country. In 2012, she set up a community empowerment program for farmers that supports water conservation; it has built ten check dams and impacted 50,000 people.
In January 2018, Sinha served as a co-chair of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and later that year, she was awarded the Nari Shakti Puraskar - the highest civilian award for women in India - by the President of India.
Mann Deshi has supported over half a million women and aims to reach one million women by 2024.
Mandy Ying
Associate of Corporate Engagement at Goldman SachsWenjie (Mandy) Ying is the Associate of Corporate Engagement at Goldman Sachs, where she is responsible for running the firm’s philanthropic initiatives in China, particularly 10,000 Women China.
Prior to this role, Mandy headed the Programme Team of China and Asia at the World Economic Forum, where she led content design of China and Asia-related programmes at “Winter Davos” at Switzerland and “Summer Davos” in China, as well as regional events in Southeast Asia. Previously, Mandy had professional experience at United Nations Development Program (UNDP)’s Regional Bureau for Africa in New York City, Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) on developing human rights framework for pharmaceutical industry and US-China Education Trust with Ambassador Julia Chang Bloch in Washington, D.C.
Mandy earned a graduate MPA (Master of Public Administration) degree in the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University and a bachelor degree of law in the major of Political Science and Public Administration at Sun Yat-sen University in 2011 in her hometown Guangzhou, China.
